We adopted Ripley, a 1-year-old street dog from Mexico, in November 2021. With Monique’s help at Gentle Puppy Training, Ripley transformed from anxious and guarded to calm and trusting. We're grateful for the amazing progress she’s made!

Monique is truly an expert dog( and dog owner) trainer and absolutely a dog whisperer. She helped us learn to communicate with our rescued seven month old Saint Bernard last year. We feel her advice and suggestions have made all the difference in how we all interact with each other and with other dogs and owners in our neighborhood. Her training practices are founded in only positive reinforcement. This results in a much stronger trust bond. I've trained two puppies with Monique’s Puppy Kindergarten Party class and I highly recommend her to everyone with a pup. She doesn’t just train pups, she trains you! From the start I was amazed at how Monique instantly knew why my pup was doing what they do and was able to translate it for me in a way that just made so much sense. You feel like you are in the hands of a true and capable expert you can trust. She uses fun, gentle, and reward based techniques that really work no matter at what stage your pup is at. The classes are fun and your pups will learn impulse control and manners around other pups in the class, and you can learn from how the other participants are doing. If you practice her easy take home exercises and techniques you’ll have a well-behaved pup who loves to please you and you’ll have many happy years together. I am immensely grateful that I did myself and my pups the favour of taking her classes.

Monique is a great teacher. We have taken 3 classes from her over the past year - Puppy level 1 and 2, and most recently, Nose work. Monique is knowledgeable, professional, patient and always willing to find a new way to get your puppy to be successful. She cares about the puppies as if they were her own.
