Speciality Class: Boomerang Recall -Coming when called class

 Does your dog come when called, only when he wants?

Does he has trouble coming from distractions, other dogs, ,people, squirrels or something on the ground?   

This class will give you the skills you need to work on getting a Really Reliable Recall even in tricky situations! 

Learn games to play that will increase your dog’s motivation and drive to turn on a dime and race to you when you call his name.

 Prerequisite: for dogs over 6 months old

Dogs should have foundation skills underway such as sit & lie down.

Dogs should be people and dog friendly.

This class is not suitable for fearful/reactive dogs

Maximum 4 dogs /class

Speciality Class: Walk this Way with Me- Loose Leash Training class.

Our

FEES; $180 ( taxes included) *** FALL SPECIAL ***

 Our intensive course will focus strictly on leash walking 

Techniques for successful loose leash walking and “heeling” fundamentals will be covered.

Your instructor will demystify many of leash walking tools on the market.

We will show you how to keep control of your active happy dog even when presented with distractions 

Our Walk this Way with Me course is designed to improve your leash walking experience with your buddy.

This program is appropriate for friendly dogs. Enthusiastic and Bouncy dogs are welcome!

The course will start in the Training Sanctuary and students will be able to practice the techniques in real life situations  outdoors ( weather permitted)

Speciality Class: Fun Scent Games – The Nose Knows Aka Nose Work Games

Once dependent upon their noses to survive, most domestic dogs today are a bit out of practice. But the good news is that, with just a little planning and patience, you can add fun scent games to your dog’s repertoire of behaviours and help her utilize this untapped smell power!
This activity will build self-confidence for the less confident dog, and teach the excited dog to focus and work off energy. You will both learn a wonderful way to stimulate your dog mentally and physically. Does your dog’s sniffing drive you crazy on walks or at home, or both? By teaching your dog to use their nose on cue chances are the behaviours you dislike will fade. Games build a relationship and scenting( seeking hunting) provide a challenge!
RELAX-CALM- FOCUS & HAPPY !SCENT GAMES BUILD CONFIDENCE too! A great option for timid /shy dogs also for dogs that are reactive towards dogs. Scent games offers a powerful tool for helping dogs, particularly those suffering from anxiety, by engaging their natural sense of smell and enhancing their emotional well-being
  • Prerequisite for puppies over 16 weeks old and older
  • Dogs should be people friendly for safety sake: food & toy resource guarder are not allowed in that class
  • The good news are we accept dogs that are reactive aggressive towards other dogs as there is only one dog at the time in the search area. We acceptt also timid /shy dogs .We accept barking dogs too!
  • We accept teen puppies over 4.5 months old
  • You are looking for a class where it is your dog that is doing all the tasks this is the class to enroll!!

Super power teen class

Super power teen class ( aka puppy class level 2 )                        1   hour/session for 5 weeks fees: $ 225

From leash walking to an automatic recall, these classes cover a ton of valuable dog behavior skills to ensure your teen pup is a well-mannered family member.
Each session will be filled with valuable positive reinforcement cues, fun games, and training information that the whole family will find fun, informative, and practical for everyday life with your four-legged friend.

For Gentle Puppy Training Puppy Class Kindergarten & New kids on the Block Graduated students  or **Equivalent **

Yes! Your adolescent puppy will have play sessions with the other pups in the class as playing is part of socialization and learning canine social skills & it is a great opportunity to practice recalls ( coming when called)

New kid on the block teen puppy class

Fall special fees : $295 ( taxes included) for over 7 hours of group training classes
Is your once cute, cuddly, and well-behaved pup suddenly acting out? Is your dog ignoring you, taking off if he sees something interesting, and chewing on everything in sight? Did his once perfect “sit,” “down,” “stay,” and “come” seemingly disappear overnight? Are his friendly, social ways being replaced with rowdy, over-the-top greetings? Is he sometimes cautious or even suspicious? Does he occasionally look at you as if he hardly knows you? You are not alone! Your puppy is now a teenage adolescent pup!
This class is offered to every pre -teen & teenage puppies 16 weeks – 18 months old FRIENDLY with PEOPLE & DOGS!
This 6 sessions program focuses on teaching polite greeting manners (not jumping on people & dogs), coming when called (particularly around distractions), settle-down (relax and chill out), loose leash walking, handling (accepting hugs, pets, massages and being restrained), grooming, tricks, games, laughs & more. Yes! We welcome the whole family and will teach you how to establish a sound relationship & leadership by teaching your young dog good manners in a fun and relaxed atmosphere!
Teen puppies are amazing ! Funny! & smart ! They need love- supervision-management -guidance – games- mental stimulation- scent games ( aka nose work) -& training we are taking reservation now !

Amazing puppy kindergarten class

Fall special fees : $295( taxes included) for more than 7 hours of group training classes! 1 st class Welcome Orientation Lecture for family ONLY then 5 Lessons /1 hour/week

PUPPY KINDERGARTEN CLASS is the first step in training your new puppy. Open to PUPPIES 10- 15 weeks old this class will introduce your puppy to new people and new situations. We also can help with common roadblocks, such as house training, crate training, puppy biting or mouthing, chewing, barking and more. A new study found out that puppies that attended Kindergarten classes are more Confident & Social & less likely to show nervousness or have symptoms of separation anxiety.
Puppies that are trained using positive methods, learn to enjoy training and develop an eagerness to please. Positive methods also foster trust and communication between owner and puppy;.
YES! PUPPIES AS EARLY AS 10 WEEKS OLD YES 10 WEEKS OLD CAN BE ENROLLED IN THE PUPPY KINDERGARTEN CLASS AS LONG AS YOUR PUPPY GOT HIS 1st PUPPY VACCINE IT IS SAFE TO BRING IT TO GENTLE PUPPY TRAINING PUPPY CLASSES !!
No!No!No! Your puppy does not need I will repeat over & over does not need to have all of his 3 sets of puppy vaccinations prior to the puppy class this is a big myth!

As long as your puppy got the very first vaccine ( distemper & parvovirus) at least 1 week prior to the class ;it is safe for your pup to be around other vaccinated puppies!
